As of November 9th, 2016 we have released a new feature for having dynamic merge tags in followup sequences and blast apps. You can now use any field in these functions as a merge tag. A merge tag will fill in the data from a seller lead from a specific field you specify. For example you could have a field called "Type of Property", and when you use that merge tag in a email blast to seller leads it can fill in the type of property.

The Basic Guidelines

To use a field in a follow up sequence or blast just use the exact name, capitalization, and spacing in the merge tag. For example if you want to use the field "Type of Property" the merge tag would be [Type of Property].

How to Know If There is an Error

If something is wrong with a merge tag when a followup message or blast goes out a comment will post in the activity feed of the Configuration workspace letting you know what message and merge tag is having an issue.

Using Fields In Company Settings

In the configuration workspace there is the settings app. This app contains all the primary company information. You can now use any of these fields in your messages. You can create a tag like this [Settings@Entity Name], which will fill in the entity name field you have in the settings app. You can also use this feature to create new fields in the settings app and pull in that information.

Company Website

In order to hyperlink the company website listed in your company settings you can format the tag like this [companywebsite text="TEXT OF THE LINK"] this will hyperlink your website with the text listed in the quotations. NOTE: This only works for the companywebsite field.

Signature

We have added the a signature tag to all of your email and text templates. This lets you remove this tag and add a custom signature per message. Perfect use for this is a unique follow up sequence per acquisitions manager. NOTE: You will need to add the signature tag to any new messages you create in order for it to be included. They are:

  • Text Signature: [Settings@Text Message Signature]
  • Email Signature: [Settings@Outgoing Email Signature]
